Throughout my career, I’ve been on both bad teams and great teams. The difference was never talent. The difference was that the great teams I played on cared more about the overall goal than the individual goals.
Smittys course will paint a clear picture of how a team at work can get some things accomplished, but a team working together can do things they never thought possible. Smitty (and crew) have taken the critical pieces of what they have learned and experienced from over two decades of operating at the very highest level, and condensed it into a leadership/team building experience that will transform any team that is willing to show up and take on a challenge.
I got to witness this when Smitty and his team introduced a group of the KC Royals top prospects to a world that is far from their normal baseball training. A world that is challenging, often uncomfortable, will reveal strengths and expose weaknesses.
After seeing the impact on the Royals, I am confident that this is something every team should make a priority. Smitty leads by example with a calmness and confidence that is contagious to whomever is around.
